"Watchmen" Covenant

At Global Frontier Misions, we have four pre-requisites for becoming a member of the "watchmen":

1) A personal profession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

2) A short-term missions experience with Global Frontier Missions or another organization working among unreached people groups.

3) Completion of the "watchmen" training included in our missions mobilization kit.

4) A signed commitment to abide by Global Frontier Mission's watchmen covenant.

The Global Frontier Missions Watchmen Covenant

I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and have been on a short-term mission trip among unreached people groups as well as gone through the "watchmen" training. I am in agreement with GFM's statements, strategy, and structure, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the Global Frontier Missions family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to do the following:

I WILL PRAY FOR THE UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS OF THE WORLD AT LEAST FIFTEEN TO TWENTY MINUTES PER DAY OR AT LEAST TWO HOURS PER WEEK

...By taking time during my personal devotions to pray
or
...By organizing a small prayer group for the nations
or
...By sharing about prayer needs in small groups, Sunday school classes, and churches

"Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession." Ps. 2:8

"He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'" Luke 10:2

“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none." Ex. 22:30

I WILL GIVE TO THE UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS OF THE WORLD

...By committing 3% of my total income to organizations, projects, or individuals dedicated to working among unreached people groups
AND
...By encouraging others to be strategic about their missions giving

"Each one of you, on the first day of each week, should set aside a specific sum of money in proportion to what you have earned and use it for the offering." 1 Cor. 16:2

"They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth." 3 Jn. 1:6,8

"If a Levite moves from one of your towns anywhere in Israel where he is living, and comes in all earnestness to the place the LORD will choose, he may minister in the name of the LORD his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there in the presence of the LORD.
He is to share equally in their benefits, even though he has received money from the sale of family possessions." Dt. 18:6-8

I WILL GO TO THE UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS OF THE WORLD

...By reaching out to international students or neighbors that may be from unreached areas
or
...By going on a short-term missions trip among unreached people groups at least every other year

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Mt. 28:19,20

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Mt. 24:14

I SPEND AT LEAST TWO HOURS PER MONTH MOBILIZING OTHERS TO GET INVOLVED IN PRAYING, GIVING, AND GOING TO THE UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS OF THE WORLD

...By promoting strategic prayer among my circle of influence
and
...By promoting strategic giving among my circle of influence
and
...By promoting strategic going among my circle of influence
