Full-Time Staff Opportunities

Global Frontier Missions has several short-term and long-term Christian missionary staff positions and opportu

nities available for those who want to work in full-time missions. Our ministry has a focus on unreached people groups in Oaxaca, Mexico.

All of our full-time missionaries are faith-based which means that they raise their own support by looking to indivudals, churches, and businesses. Most of our staff members also join Commission to Every Nation (CTEN) for additional spiritual covering, help with newsletters, and receipting purposes.

All of our full-time staff people are required to go through our Mission Training School as a way to get used to life in Mexico, to get comfortable in Spanish, to discover their spiritual gifts, and to find out how they can best be used in furthering the Kingdom. Some exceptions to the school being a pre-requisite to being on staff with us can be made based on life/ministry experience and Spanish fluency.

Long-term Mission Opportunities and Positions:

Teaching English (ESL) in different villages: we are looking for more people that would be willing to come and teach English in different villages as a way of relationship evangelism to open doors for church planting and discipleship.

Teaching Missionary Children: we would like to have teachers dedicated to teaching the missionary kids here at the base in order to free the parents up to do more hands-on minnistry among the unreached people groups.

Discipleship/Church Planting: we are looking for people that would be willing to go out and live among unreached people groups or visit them regularly to do evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. This includes learning the language, culture, customs, and traditions of the people so that you can effectively share the Gospel with them.

Youth Group Leaders: we are looking for people to come and help lead our youth ministry "La Roca".

Short-term Missions Coordinators: we need people that would be interested in helping set up short term mission trips, train groups, and take them on outreaches. we could also use some people that would be willing to do promotion for us on a part-time basis in the U.S.

Medical Missions Coordinators: we need medical oriented people that would be interested in helping set up short term medical mission trips, train medical groups, and take them on outreaches. we could also use some people that would be willing to do promotion for us on a part-time basis in the U.S.

Indigenous Bible School Leaders: we need teachers/mentors for our indigenous Bible school. These staff members would be in charge of the students during the three month school and do follow-up discipleship and promotion during the other months of the year.

Mission Training School Leaders: we need teachers/mentors for our Mission Training School. These staff members help teach classes throughout the year, disciple the students, and accompany them on outreach.

Mobile Medical Unit Coordinators: we need medical oriented people that would be interested in forming a mobile medical unit which will travel out to different villages doing medical clinics and relationship evangelism. The mobile medical unit will have medical students and others coming for short amounts of time to get their feet wet in missions.

Base Pastors: we need some spiritually mature leaders that can be in charge of the spiritual life of the ministry here in Mexico and help out with counseling, discipleship, accountability, etc.

Maintenance Person: we need a "handy man" that could take care of all of the little odd jobs that often pop-up at our facilities.

Fundraiser: we need someone that would be willing to search out grants, seek to raise funds for the organization, and be an advisor to all of the individuals who raise their own support in the ministry.

Missions Mobilization: we need people in the U.S. that would be willing to promote our programs and needs.

Urgent Staff Needs

1) Administrative Assistant
Pray for us to find someone that would be willing to be a type of office manager for GFM doing much of the correspondence, accounting, organizing, and web development that is involved in keeping the Mission Training School, short term teams, and other ministries going. This will free Grant and others up to have more time for relationships with staff, students, and villagers.

2) Pastoral Care
We had around 40 people living on our base in community this year and look to have about the same amount starting in September next year. Pray for a couple seasoned in life and ministry to come on board to oversee the spiritual life at the GFM base. We need someone with a lot of wisdom, counseling experience, knowledge of the Word, good speaking skills, and compassion that speaks the truth in love.

3) Medical Personnel
We need a full-time doctor or nurse practitioner to help run with the medical side of our ministry which helps open so many doors. We need someone to be in charge of all short-term medical teams coming through the base as well as oversee the mobile medical team which will be getting underway in Sept. A support staff of RNs, dentists, and other volunteers is also needed to get things running full force.

4) Missionary Children Teacher
We need someone that would be willing to come down to teach staff and students' children or assist in the homeschool process in order to free the parents up to get more involved in ministry. Most of the children are in pre-school or elementary school.

5) Church Planters
This would be our number one need if we didn't need administrative, pastoral, and medical staff so badly here at GFM right now. We are beginning to see how few people are really willing to give their lives up to plant churches in villages where there are none. It is a long, hard process of making relationships over time and takes awhile to see fruit which is why many don't feel "called" to do it. More than 90% of all missionaries are working in administrative and support jobs or in places where there are already churches. Please pray for more people that would be willing to do evangelism, discipleship, and church planting among the many unreached people groups of Oaxaca.

Please pass these needs on to others that you think might be interested and pray that God would send the right people to fulfill these roles. Jesus told us to specifically pray to the Lord of the harvest for more laborers to be sent.
