Summer Staff Job Descriptions

GLOBAL ADVENTURES STAFF JOB OPPORTUNITIES

TRAINING PHASE JOBS

1) Worship Band - The worship band is in charge of leading people into the presence of God. We would like to have a band with guitars, keyboard, bass, drums, and vocals. Most of the worship that we do is pretty contemporary and upbeat. There are about six set worship times during the week, as well as other optional worship times.

2) Sound/Video Person - This person runs the soundboard, video equipment, and PowerPoint during all the sessions. He/she makes sure that all of the equipment is working and that the speakers can be heard. This person coordinates with the worship band to see what needs to be done for good sound quality and is also in charge of playing Christian music/videos before and after all sessions.

3) Games Coordinator - This person is in charge of organizing the icebreaker games for when the participants first arrive. He/she also organizes the group games by explaining the rules, forming teams, making spiritual applications, etc.

4) Drama Team - These people have parts in the dramas that are done throughout the week. The skits are usually humorous with a good message. There is a dorm cleaning competition each day that is judged and the results presented in a creative way to the youth. They may also give missions testimonies, get the crowd pumped up, introduce speakers, and much more.

Interns have plenty of one-on-one contact with the mission trip participants and are encouraged to develop friendships with them and to minister to them. Most of the ministry takes place through these relationships. Some interns go on the tourist day each week. Global Adventures interns attend morning and evening sessions with the trip participants, are in small groups, participate in missions moments, give testimonies, etc.
